This is a great chance for creatives to serve in your gifting at Cornerstone, SHOW YOUR ART, and network with other artists in the cs community.

OPTIONAL THEME: The theme of the show is “flood the desert”. Water, desert, life, living, revival. It is encouraged that artwork submitted fall within this theme ( but it is not limited to this theme). Think of flood.. not in the negative context, but as a vessel that brings life to a dry world. Push the limits, think outside of the box. It does not have to be a literal representation. No size requirement. NOT all pieces will be accepted. Multiple submissions are allowed.

Optional challenge: hide the word “flood” or the logo somewhere in the art piece. (logo displayed below)

MATT MAHER T-SHIRT DESIGN

Seen these drawings before??? I am glad they came to use. i just finished this t-shirt tonight for Matt Maher “look like a fool”. I did it in black and white because i am not sure what colors they need to add to the batch yet. anyway just wanted to share…. i think it came out really fun. any thoughts or changes you think should be made?? THE DRAWINGS ARE NOT THEM… but i was thinking that may be a fun change to make. they are suppose to just be crazy poeple that dont care about looking like a fool for God. haha. please check out his music. it is awesome. and they are really fun people.

JJ HELLER: talented singer | songwritter

I first heard and loved jj hellers music at mat and lisa weddle’s wedding in February. They came out and did a short set at the rehersal dinner and also at the ceremony. jj heller was then invited to play at cornerstone a few months back. They SOLD OUT of cds and there were lines and lines of people waiting to get their hands on her tunes.

Her inspirational little diddies chime with rich truth of Gods word & life without sounding supper cheezy. Her clear sweet voice is chocolate for your ears. I rarely buy every album an artists produces but her music is worth purchasing and staying in touch with.

OBADIAH PARKER: MAT WEDDLE

Ever heard of the acoustic cover of “HEY YA”?? For those of you who do not know who the band Obadiah Parker is, then this is your chance. Mat Weddle, in Obadiah Parker is a fabulous musician and friend here in Phoenix Az. He got quite a lot of attention from the press and radio stations for the acoustic cover of “Hey ya” by outkast awhile back. He has an amazing voice. WOW.
I had the privilage of doing engagement and wedding photography for Mat and Lisa last february, and fell in love with them. They are an amazing couple. It was great to get to know them in a more personal way. I feel like I really get to know people when i take their picture. its kind of magical.

Anyway, I was asked to do some design & illustration work for some of mat’s new music. Here are a few cd sleeve comps that I finished up today. some different colors. check out his hey ya video and myspace.

OAKLAND: FOR THE WEEKEND

Brian and I are in Oakland CA. for the weekend with this parents and his dad’s family. dinners, hotels, poolside relaxing, sun.. what would be better? I am just chekin email and posting a couple blogs here. I am kinda bad at that. I dont post for a few days… then i do like 4 in a day. what a bad habit blogger. I need to learn from some pros. But how do you find the time EVERYDAY to post a blogs?? the wise should fill me in. hahaha. when do you find the time?

RAGAMUFFIN SOUL: T-SHIRT CONTEST

this is a comp for Ragamuffin soul blog t-shirt contest. No rules really… just the ragamuffinsoul.com. You may have seen me use this girl before…But it hasnt gotten picked up yet. I love the look: vintage old style mixed with trendy urban grunge. I find the vintage mix with urban very attractive…. we’ll see how it goes. I am not counting on much, usually the stuff that I would wear//like “normal” people dont. hahahaa. thats okay. What do you think? this is the same shirt, with different color variations. thanks.
