daley, becoming our good friend and our soon to be wedding photographer was in town and on tour with the daylights. He got brian and I and Jon asher in last night at the marquee. They put on a good show, katy perry was a really good performer but pretty crude. Daley took the stage shirtless and jon asher was a great merch salesman. It was good to be with fun great people.

I am sorry that I have been MIA for the past few days. Brian and I were in California doing some wedding planning with our moms. Yikes that is a lot of work. We had a blast though.. and went to the cake shop 3 days in a row because the cake was SOO GOOD.. unlike most wedding cakes. hahaa. yummy. Well I have some updates coming tomorrow, photos, design projects and another GIVE-AWAY this week. keep checking back. -loves.

I am charging up my 5d and giving mad props to daleyhake.com for scoring me this sweet job of taking photos for John Debney at the paramount as they score and record. Another thanks to Daley Hake for recommending me to Re-brand his whole look, including a logo, print promos, interview style promo video, and a new website. HOW FUN. I am not doing this all by myself, their will be some wonderfully talented people that i will outsource to. more deatils and photos to come.

3 BIG STUF DESIGN COMPS

So about a couple month or so ago Jamie echlier from Big Stuf Camps shot me an email asking for three different design comps for their High School Camps on the East Coast this Summer. This camp has a lot of great stuff going on. I wish I could have been a part of it when I was in High School. It looks like the place to be for youth groups. Daytona Beach Fl. is July 20th-24th with Guest speakers Andy Stanley, Reggie Joiner, Perry noble, Steve furtick, Lanny donoho, Jared herd, and Fee band. And Panama City is happening june through july with guest speakers Lanny Donoho, Jared Herd, Reggie Joiner, and Stuart Hall. check out their promo videos by clicking the image below. Make sure you play the “2009 time” video. Its awesome. I want to go. haha. so We’ll see what they think of the designs. They might pick another designer all together But thats fine, I had a really great time pushing through these concepts. ANY FAVORITES?

MY FIRST 5D MARK II TRIAL RUN

I got to play around with my new camera on thursday. It was soo much fun. I am flabbergasted at the clearity and crispness in these photos. I am only still learning the ins and outs. Here are a few. you can see more on my flickr. Click the photo to see its true color.

MY STUDIO IS A WORK IN PROGRESS

soo.. now that i am not in the office. I DONT HAVE A PLACE TO WORK. I had my laptop on my lap the whole day working on project and design concepts and Just because i was on the couch i felt SUPER lazy. But i was getting a ton done. A lot of people would say SWEET.. but when i seriously need a place to work. So this is my studio in progress… the very beginning progress of course. But its just perfect size. I have a computer, check, posters and art, check, easles, check, and a room, check. My next order of business is a DESK. haha. anyone giving one away? 🙂 haha jk. here are a few photos I took messing around the other day. Please dont mind the mess or the grain in the photos.

JENNYVI DIZON COUTURE

SORRY BOYS. This is a pretty girly post this time. So, I found my dress!!! kind of. I looked and looked to find a dress. I was looking for something different than a strapless white white dress with a bunch of beads on it. That look is very lovely of course… but not me. And that type of dress really tends to be the trend right now and it’s hard to find anything else.

I got a recommendation for a lady and then she passed me on to Jennyvi designs. I was impressed by her website and intrigued to email her. So it did, and we ended up meeting for coffee and talking through some details. She is so sweet, easy to talk to, approachable, and really truly cares for the bride and what she would like for the day. The price is perfect, and I felt like she really understood the direction I wanted to go. This girl is only in her late twenties and has been sewing and designing since she was ONLY 5 years old. How crazy is that?!?! Her father was a tailor and taught her when she was very young. I got my measurements taken the other day and i am so excited to see it. 🙂 i will let you know how things go down. Here are a few photos…some from her catalog.

Its so fun, that as an artist, I get the opportunity to custom design my own wedding dress. There are so many endless possibilities.
